Roc City Boom announce Isaac Kissi as General Manager

After an extensive search, The Roc City Boom are pleased to announce the hiring of Isaac Kissi as General Manager. Born in Accra, Ghana in 1987, He moved to America in 2007, where he attended Dayton University, becoming a standout for three seasons. Isaac was taken #42 overall in the 2010 MLS Draft by Chivas USA. Kissi then played for the Rochester Rhinos from 2010-2012 where he made 50 appearances and led the team in scoring in 2011. After suffering a knee injury that ended his playing career, Isaac decided to go back to school and graduated from the University of Rochester in 2016 from the School of Nursing.

Isaac is on the on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19. He was working at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo in the ICU department and telemetry units. He now works with New York State helping with drive thru testing at Monroe Community College.

Isaac is excited to join the Boom and draw excitement back to Rochester soccer, stressing unity not division. He plans to involve the inner city community and invite them to games and get them more involved in Boom games and activities.

His day-to-day duties include mentoring and guiding players, and identifying prospective players, along with securing local partnerships and helping in facilitating growth in the Rochester soccer community. Giving back to the city and giving younger players an opportunity to play in a professional atmosphere playing in city stadium is very important to him. He is going to use his experience as a player to compete with other great New York State soccer teams.

His 1st task as General Manager is to develop a stadium plan and training procedure plan to help reopen soccer according to New York State guidelines. Isaac will be the point of contact in developing social distancing procedures in place around stadium, in merchandise, and ticketing areas, so fans can enjoy soccer safely. Welcome Isaac Kissi!!!
