Taner is a two year starter for Division 1 College Rider University where he played Center Midfield. He helped Rider University win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2018 and advanced to the NCAA Division 1 National Tournament, finishing second on the team in assists. He will be the Captain for his upcoming Senior season.
Taner has previously played in the National Premier Soccer League for FC Buffalo.
Prior to college, Taner had been with Empire United Soccer Academy since the age of 14, starting every year at Center Midfielder or Center Back.
Taner attended Webster Thomas High School and played 1 season.
