Playing their 2nd road game in 3 days, the Roc City Boom came back to tie Krajisnik 1-1 in a hard fought physical game played at Accelerate Sports.
The game started off with an early goal from Krajisnik, a cross was put in and forward Ali Somow made a nice run and was able to finish to put the home side up 1-0.
The Boom responded well to the Krajisnik goal, and found the equalizer when AJ Ali played a pass to Isaac Kissi who tied the game at 1-1, scoring the 1st ever Roc City Boom goal.
Midway into the 2nd half, Boom goalkeeper Stewart Frank collided with a Krajisnik player and had to be taken off the field. The Boom were forced to use a field player in net, with George Amoh filling in well for the injured Frank.
With time winding down, Abdullahi Hussein earned a penalty kick with about 5 minutes left. Roc City was unable to convert and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Boom move to 0-0-2 and Krajisnik start off at 0-0-1. Rochester's next game is at Syracuse on 7/26 at 4:00pm.
