ROCHESTER N.Y. - Roc City Boom suffered their first loss to Syracuse FC on Saturday night. The Boom came into the game 4-0 still without allowing a single goal this campaign. Syracuse FC also entered the match unbeaten with a 1-0-1 record.

The game began in the beautiful sunset of Rochester, New York with an electric defense battle with no team finding any clear chances until the 30th minute when Syracuse FC striker, Daniel Rayhill, had an open look inside the penalty area blocked by Aaron Harrison. The last action of the first half came with Peter DiLorenzo finding a ball bouncing around the box that fell to his foot as he struck a volley into the path of goalkeeper Andrew Taylor.

At halftime Syracuse edged The Boom in shots 3-2. The first action of the second half saw a free header from George Amoh go begging as it went
wide of the target. DiLorenzo picked up a booking minutes later for a high challenge.

Chances kept coming for The Boom as Witman Hernandez fired a strike from distance that flew inches over the crossbar and DiLorenzo plucked a great ball out of the air and volleyed into the side netting just minutes apart.

The breakthrough came in the 71st minute as Rayhill slotted a loose ball into the bottom right of the net and gave Syracuse the lead.
Roc City had a few chances from Matt Stefaniw that were well defended by Syracuse and Syracuse held on to beat The Boom by a final score of 1-0.
Shots, corners and saves were all level 4-4, 3-3 and 4-4, respectively, at the end of the match.

The Boom rebounded on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Invictus FC in Utica. Witman Hernandez scored both goals, and assists were provided by Taner Bay and Peter DiLorenzo.

The Boom remain in 1st place on 15 points, their next game is away to Syracuse FC on 5/30.
